“I love using bold color to blur the line between abstract and realism. In my paintings, realism provides and anchor while abstraction brings freedom, movement, and emotion. The two styles interact like a dance~ sometimes harmonious, sometimes unexpected~ creating pieces that feel alive and expressive.”
“I love to use vibrant color and expressive brushwork to capture both emotion and form.”

“Born in the beautiful Midwest, I have treasured the outdoors and thus my love of plein air painting. I am so inspired by nature and it”s ever changing seasons and the power it holds us in. I have a great love of all animals and particularly the horse, I am a six time World Champion, I feel years of digging in have taught me to become disciplined overall in my life, It taught me to never give up and to evolve. I think this is why I fearlessly use bold color and expressive brushwork in my paintings. I am a Beekeeper and dedicated to the conservation of our Bee’s. I am also inspired from this experience that spills into every painting. I am an avid gardener with a coop of my beloved old hens, again I am inspired by evolution of growing plants and the happy chatter of hens. I have painted and created my entire life. It always felt wrong not to pick up a pencil and sketch or my brushes to paint and thoughout my life it has been something I have always leaned on. Painting has been my creative temple and I will do so until my hands can no longer hold a brush, I have had the great honor of graduating from Mastery program from Milan Art institute. My artistic journey was deeply shaped through graduating from the Institute, where I refined my voice as an Oil Painter and learned to balance realism with expressive abstraction. I have studied under the incredible British Artist, Lizzie Black who is based out of Mousehole, England. Lizzie expanded my technical skills in Still life helping me understand how to capture light, shadow and movement.
Going forward, I am studying under a celebrated and accomplished Spanish oil painter, Carlos San Milan in July of 2026 in France, to further my study in Abstract reallism.““I have a deep love for oil painting and the endless possibilities it offers. Through color and expression, I strive to create artwork that inspires emotion, curiosity, and connection.
Why do I create? Painting through the years has been my refuge, a spirtual place where my imagination knows no limits. Freedom.“Why become a collector today? “Collecting my art means bringing bold color, emotion, and meaningful expression into your space. Each painting is created with intention, inviting connection, beauty, and a story that unfolds over time.”
With love, Lisa X
