“I love using bold color to blur the line between abstract and realism. In my paintings, realism provides and anchor while abstraction brings freedom, movement, and emotion. The two styles interact like a dance~ sometimes harmonious, sometimes unexpected~ creating pieces that feel alive and expressive.”

“I love to use vibrant color and expressive brushwork to capture both emotion and form.”

more about Lisa

“Born in the beautiful Midwest, I have treasured the outdoors with the ever changing seasons, riding my beloved Quarter horses, caring for my Bee’s and garden, my funny chickens, cooking and decorating, fly fishing, maple tree tapping, antiquing, traveling, creating, painting and caring for my precious grand babies all five of them! I am married to Trav or Greenwood as I lovingly call him and a Momma to two and their beloved spouses. I try to stay curious about our world and determined to keep my childhood wonderment. All of this shapes my imaginations to create fun compositions with emotion with a story. I have had the great honor of graduating from Mastery program from Milan Art institute. My artistic journey was deeply shaped through graduating from the Institute, where I refined my voice as an Oil Painter and learned to balance realism with expressive abstraction. I have had the honor of studying under the incredible British Artist, Lizzie Black who is based out of Mousehole, England. Lizzie expanded my technical skills in Still life helping me understand how to capture light, shadow and movement. I studied at Clark State University in Fine Art. This was a gift as, I immediately fell in love with Fine Art History, this gave me a luscious background in all our great Masters. Some of my favorite artists to this day and still inspire me ~ French artist Claude Monet and founder of impressionism. He is often thought of the Father of impressionism. I have many other favorites but, Monet began it all for all of us Impressionist painters. Albert Bierstadts, Edgar Payne and Peder Mark Monster for some of my most favorite Landscape painters. There is are many, many more of the Old Masters of Landscape. these though have greatly inspired me.

This August, I am studying under a celebrated and accomplished Spanish oil painter, Carlos San Milan in July of 2026 in France, to further my study in Abstract realism. I am greatly excited to learn all I can from this amazing Artist.

Why do I create? Painting through the years has been my refuge, a spiritual place where my imagination knows no limits. Freedom.

“Why become a collector today? “Collecting my art means bringing bold color, emotion, and meaningful expression into your space. Each painting is created with intention, inviting connection, beauty, and a story that unfolds over time.”

“How can I thank you enough for the most beautiful painting ( Annie). I sill can”t believe she is mine. Who every visits our home, they always ask about your painting, Annie! Each time I look at her, I see something new, absolute magic! She looks right at home here in Southeast, Texas. We love her. She arrived in a mile of packing material, so she made it safely…. We really appreciated that. The wax seal on the envelope with your heart felt hand written letter, touched us. Thank you again for allowing us to purchase her. I can’t wait to find my next lovely Oil painting, right here”

.Best Regards, Darren & Vicky Gautreaux.
